Tickled Pig BBQ

Several of our friends recommended we try Tickled Pig and we are glad we did. We both got the brisket platter with mac'n cheese and slaw (my wife got the stew). The brisket was so tender and we loved the smoky/slight char flavor - they have three different sauces, but you really don't need sauce at all. In addition the staff was super friendly.

Phenomenal service, amazing BBQ, unique ambience in a train caboose, and outside and inside dining options make this a standout for any locals, as well as worth a trip to beautiful downtown Madison for everyone driving on I-20. Take a 5 minute detour from your drive to have an amazing meal, served with heart. You can stretch your legs, walk your dog in the park, and create a memorable family moment.

We've eaten here several times and the food is very good. Go early because it goes quick.

Got the pork, chicken, and sliced beef brisket to go. Beef brisket was their best, most of it was nice and "moist". I suggest they trim less fat off the brisket so the entire portion is moist. Chopped chicken, a mix of white and dark was good, smoky. The pulled pork missed the mark, not having a lot of flavor. But I'm not a fan of eastern Carolina pork, so my opinion doesn't count for much.

They need to add a green vegetable side like okra or green beans.

Excellent BBQ! It’s smoky, flavorful, and the sauces are great. The side selection is plentiful. The folks who run it and work there are very nice! We will become frequenters of this place!
