This review is based entirely on the quality of the food and service. I'll leave the beer reviews to those who like beer.
We came to World of Beer hungry for burgers. The burgers here are flame broiled or grilled. Normally, I like grilled burgers, but not when a medium-well patty is charred and unseasoned. To mask the char, I had to pile on the condiments. The Tots were good.
The service was a bit slow to start but after our drinks arrived the server was attentive.
The Monday $5 burgers price is outstanding even with the char.
I doubt I will be back just because there are better burger places in Augusta. If you're into beer and tavern food, it's worth a try anyway.
Of course World of Beer has a huge selection of beers. Huge. Local and otherwise. I like dark beers, so I went with a stout and a porter. Oh, but this is World if Beer. So I didn't just have a stout, I had a bourbon barrel aged stout. Not just a porter, but something more like chocolate milk. My friend had some kind of cream IPA; all the hops you'd expect plus a surprising smoothness.
We happened to go on trivia night, so the place was packed! Lots if fun and the wait staff was on point. Our waiter was kind and helpful with the extensive menu and I never had any issues with either food or drink.
I know this is a chain, but they have got it going on.
Went to my friends birthday party and set outside. It’s a great experience to go and try out their beer collection. The pretzel was huge and really good. Service was a little slow but we were a big crowd.
Went another time and tried some burgers and they were good. I’d definitely go back again.
