Food was great, pretzel is a must! The kids had their first schnitzel and I had my first garlic wurst. Everything was delicious. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because when we first got there we were completely ignored. The gentleman who ultimately was the one to seat us was sitting at the bar 3 feet from us eating his lunch. We literally stood in the doorway for 9 minutes waiting to be acknowledged. It was only after he finished eating that he offered to seat us. And then, once we got to the table, our waitress told us they stopped serving lunch at 3:00. I took out my phone to show her that it was 2:59 and explained that we had been standing at the front door for 10 minutes. She finally agreed and allowed us to order off the lunch menu, which was half the price of the dinner menu. Several hours later when we were walking back past the restaurant to go to our hotel, a family was walking out of the restaurant telling the people that were walking in not to bother because they had been standing at the hostess station for more than 10 minutes and no one ever acknowledged them. Seems that I was not the only one that had this problem. To be honest, I'm glad we stuck it out because the food was really good. Hopefully management can work on this issue because sometimes first impressions are everlasting.

It was fresh and we'll made. It was okay. I have family that came from Germany. The food had no seasoning. That's just not right. The service was good. But it's was not a $70 meal. It would have been 5 star at 30 or 40, not 70.

Amazing food! You have to eat here! Had the garlic wurst, red cabbage, and German potato salad. Nice wait staff. Also enjoyed that they had their own parking lot. Did not have to park in a paid parking lot and walk there like some other Helen establishments.

I have been going here for 6yrs now and every time it’s something amazing they have created! Best food in all of Helen,Ga by far!! Christine and her husband are such amazing people and they make you feel like your apart of their family! The food is by far the best! If you want to try something amazing to start, try the Jagger schnitzel w/ chicken!!! ???????? I love this little hidden secret in the mountains!!! Everything has such an amazing flavor and you will never be disappointed, EVER! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

This place didn't quite live up to the hype it was given, but it was still well above par, as far as good casual dining goes. My wife enjoyed her pork tenderloin, the most. I had the wiener schnitzel, and it had good flavor but the way the breading seemed detached from the meat left me wondering if it had been frozen and reheated. Still, the plate was empty, when I got up.
