From the moment you pull up you are welcomed with a friendly smile and great service. We were immediately seated at a lovely table in the middle of the room. We ordered cocktails to start off with along with the beef carpaccio and artisanal cheese board. Both were good however the cheese board was a bit underwhelming given the $22 price tag. (see picture) No one seemed to care for the tomato jam that they put on both starters. It was a bit mushy and didn’t have much flavor and I love tomatoes. The Rondelle salad was great. I don’t care for goat cheese but they blended it with blueberries and it was amazing. I loved the flavor of the bitter/pungent cheese mixed with the sweet orange vinaigrette and candied pecans and raspberries. YUMMY!
We had the braised short rib which I thought was the best dish at the table. It was fall apart tender, juicy in a light brown sauce. It came with a bacon, maple Brussel sprouts and vegetable hash that was crispy and crunchy. The others had the prime rib special that came with au gratin stacked potatoes and spinach. The spinach was very plain. They could have nailed the dish with a creamed spinach. I don’t think they put anything on the spinach. I would have given a 5 star if it weren’t for the underwhelming cheese tray and tasteless spinach. The service was fantastic and everyone there was very helpful.
