Great service, kind people, and amazing food. Some of if not the best breakfast I've ever had, amazing music, beautiful atmosphere. I would suggest anyone/everyone to come get food at Daalu World Kitchen, you will not be disappointed :)
Oh my goodness!! I am so happy that a place like this is finally in Dalton!! This is such a long overdue cultural expansion that this city needed! I got the combo plate so I can try several things at once. Ethiopian food is delicious, hearty, and is definitely worth trying if you like tasting something you've never had before. My girlfriend had the godfather waffles. It was all excellent, we cleaned off our plates and were nice and full. Our server Madison was very friendly and checked up on us frequently. They have smoothies, waffles, teas, and Ethiopian food. I will definitely be returning here several times.
The outside of the restaurant is simple chic as well as inside. It is a very clean and relaxing look. The veggie platter with vegan meat crumble had three rolls of Ethiopian bread on top. This is a spongy type bread. The platter was lined with the bread as well. The colors on the plate were wow. Bright yellow mashed lentils, beet colored potatoes, finely shredded collard greens and the vegan meat crumble. I love lentils but I have never had bright yellow ones. They tasted good. The collard greens and the beet colored potatoes were good too. The potatoes had the flavor infused into the entire bite. The vegan meat crumble had a little spice. The tomato sauce was seasoned very well. I got the African Tea to drink. I thought it was going to be a regular tea. It is a milk tea with sugar and cinnamon. I didn't know and when I picked up my order, they graciously remade it with almond milk for me. It was a great treat on a warm day. The owners had a calming vibe and were very nice. I am excited to go back and try the vegan waffles and other vegan breakfast items.

Went back for the vegan waffles and they were chef's kiss good! The vegan sausage was good. The vegan fried chicken was crispy and crunchy without being greasy at all. The inside is tofu which leads to a chewiness after the crunch. Good, good, good. But the vegan scrambled eggs were magic! They were fluffy and identical to real eggs. The seasoning was great. If I wasn't so full from the other food I would have ordered another order of the eggs. The coffee is a dark roast but smooth and they had sugar in the raw and almond milk. The vegan ice cream they use on the waffles is a coconut milk vanilla bean. Yummy. 😋
Fantastic food and excellent service. Waffles, Ethiopian food (Daalu special combo), and lattes were all spectacular.
Daalu is so unique and special in a short few words. We had wonderful service right when we walked in we were greeted and constant friendly check ins to see how we were and if we needed anything. The menu is amazing they have many options if you are vegetarian and also meat options as well. I got the “chicken” and waffles with the very berry smoothie. Very delicious food and great service if you have not had a chance to stop in you definitely should!
