One of the few Southern food places on Oahu. A little pricey but when you are a meat and vegetables like me, beggars can't be choosers.
The pork chops are really good. I've had both the fried and the smothered and I can't complain about either.
Only thing is be careful when eating because they aren't boneless! Neither is the sandwich which I found a bit scary.
But anyways, if you like food from the South, try it out!
1st time not happy. We have been ordering from Hughleys for some time and man it’s GOOD. Except for the time we ordered for my birthday. The sweet tea I normally luv was rancid. We requested the extraordinary yams but someone forgot to put it in the bag. I really hope the next time makes up for this 1st time disappointment.
GREAT customer service. Went there for my dads birthday, he wanted a simple birthday dinner, . It was nice, clean, chill vibe. We arrived at 7:20p, they close at 8pm. Their dine-in side closes at 7:30 but they let us order and take a seat because we arrived before their cut off. The food was yummy. They had all the southern favorites that you would expect; chicken, ribs, catfish, brisket, collard greens, mash, mac n cheese, baked beans, red beans and rice, hush puppies, corn bread, etc. Party of 4 and we left stuffed. Dessert was banana pudding, peach cobbler, or sweet potato pie (they ran out before we could order this dessert though). Good portions. Regular came with 2 sides and corn bread, mini plates came with 1 side. They had sweet tea ????. Great experience. Good family atmosphere. Parking was crowded but its oahu at dinner time so it was expected.
Hughleys has some tasty fried chicken, just the right amount of spice. The meat is nice and juicy when you tear it apart as well, always a plus ???? their corn bread is moist with just right amount of sweetness. Now the bad part, the Mac and cheese was a let down, the taste was good but it wasn't hot so the cheese was clumpy unsatisfying. The mash potatoes were less than stellar, not sure if it's because I didn't want gravy and just some butter or what but they just didn't seem on point. Overall we still love the food and recommend you stop in
This place is great! Big portions and amazing brisket.
Came here hungry but left stuffed. Definitely a must visit for southern food lovers
