I had the most tasty spicy pork n bbq meat plate.???? Good portions ????????n pretty good prices????! I think ????this is our new Korean place
Great local Korean style food, good service, does get busy though.
It's pricey, even for the huge portions. I ordered ton katsu, shrimp tempora and meat jun. Ton katsu and meat jun are on the sweeter side which i didn't really like. Bread crumbs on ton katsu isn't patted on good enough. Everything falls apart right away. BBQ chicken and Kalbi are really good. Service is fast, attentive, friendly. No complains there. I probably won't go back for Korean BBQ. To me it's not much different than Yummy. Maybe I'll try their ahi poke next time.
Ordered the soft tofu Chigae and it’s HUGE compared to any other soup dish you’ve gotten from other places... be ready!! It’s got so much hearty good stuff like thick cut vegetables, huge shrimps, lots of seafood and big cubes of tofu. If you have a cold or are feeling cold, this is perfect!! I doubt that you’d finish it in one sitting so either share or expect to take the remainder home for another meal.
Hubby and I shared the meal for two which cake with so much soft bbq chicken, tasty kalbi, meat jhun, and shrimp tempura. Sooo full!!! This is one of the best values!!
Service is wonderful. One of the little ones only likes the seaweed in the soup, and as we were fishing out the seaweed for them, the waiter actually came back and brought a bowl chock full of seaweed just for the kiddo. Talk about winning customer service! Amazing!
For three people, the Kim Chee Restaurant special ($30 as of Jan 2017) is WAY more than enough; 2 of us shared one bowl of rice and we added 1 extra bowl of rice for $1.50 (it is usually one bowl of refillable rice per person) and we actually came home with leftovers. See photos. Kim chee was fresh, not at all sour. We prefer it fresh for restaurants.
Restaurant gets pretty crowded at dinner time. There is a sign-up sheet inside the restaurant by the cash register. You have to walk through the restaurant to sign up, but it's worth it. Turnover is pretty high. There is no place to sit outside (or inside) and wait though, so try to find parking right out front. You usually won't wait long, so keep an eye and an ear out for them calling your name. You can also do take-away and the menu is posted outside on the glass, or check out the photos.
Pay at the register when you're ready. Your tab is kept up front.
Accepts credit cards.
Bathroom is outside; ask cashier for key.
Parking is free and usually plentiful.
