Had my favorite, roast duck plate lunch with half pound of roast pork to share with office. Always a winner! Good Service, excellent food every single time!!!

Oh how I love this place! I've learned from past experience that the way to do it is to call in the morning when they first open at 9 a.m. and put in a telephone order for a later pick up time as that line can get really long, and they can sell out pretty quickly. Although for the people in line in the morning who are picking up food for lunch, this tactic may not work. Perhaps call the day before!?

I was so glad that I did call in the morning to order dinner for my boyfriend & I, because while I was in line to pick up my order at 3:10pm, two other people were turned away as mostly everything except chicken was sold out. That's what happens when you love a place that has delicious food and is popular. It can sell out fast.

The duck is so succulent & juicy. Seasoned just right, and the roast pork is also to die for! So flavorful and that wonderful crispy skin on the top! My boyfriend loves the char siu. Oh my, reviewing this is starting to make me drool, and dinner isn't for a couple hours yet. I think I'm going to sneak a piece of each item when I get home, but don't tell my honey! LOL

Edit: While answering questions in Google's Q & A section, I noticed the questions people were asking for Roast Duck Kitchen were more geared toward a "Sit Down Restaurant" type of eatery. The food here is awesome, but it is not a restaurant. It is a "Take Out" place. There is a picnic table outside their shop if you want to dig in right away, however depending on what season we are in & where the sun is at that moment, it could be too bright & hot as the entrance to their shop is not located in a covered area of the shopping center.

The best roast pork on Oahu served here. Not to mention duck, roast chicken, fried rice and gau gee. Come early as they sometimes run out.

The best place to get Chinese roast pork outside of Chinatown. Their roast pork has extra crispy skin, just the right amount of seasoning, and the fat to lean ratio of the pork is even. Besides roast pork, they also have all the typical Chinese BBQ meats like roast duck, roast chicken, and char siu. The roast pork is $13/lb. which is reasonable. They also have rice plates for under $10. You get a choice of the BBQ meat, 2 scoops of steamed rice, and a piece of crispy gau gee. If you want your share of roast pork, come before noon or call in your order for a later pick up time.
