What a show! Totally worth it. Lots of local flavor and history, plus beautiful hula girls. Service was exceptional. Thanks for a great night!

My daughter & I spent 7 full days at the Sheraton next door.
    We came to Hawaii because
she earned her chance. I paid my own way just to witness her having fun.
This was supposed to be a experience she could share with her cheerteam mates &
say, "Yes it's worth the hard work to go."
I'm speaking for my kid & 300+ that came for fun, sun & memories.
These kind of opportunities don't happen every day.
Only once a year. Management knows this was a special group or is the University of Hawaii Football Team included at all regular performances?
    I doubt it.

Performing at the Hula Bowl DID hold up to her expectations & deserves it's
    5 ????'s. I gave a generous
    3????'s for Luau.
It was her decision to come to Hawaii & not thOrange Bowl. She said mom, Florida can wait til next year.
I did buy the best package offered by Luau via the Sheraton &they took care of our arrangements.
Katie deserved 7 fantastic fun filled days.
Watching a kid smile & seeing eyes sparkle is all I needed.
My girl didn't smile once at the Laua.
Paying money to not have a great experience is Bad.
Making memories with my daughter is Good.
We'll never get this time in her life back.
    Management you've got
a year to improve. Don't let the next group of high school girls & boys have a negative experience.
I feel like I should be more specific on the disappointming part.
I was told the Luau was reserved for our group only. Which included Parents, Chaperones, Football players & Coaches.
Hopefully next year when this once a year event rolls around the next group of kid will SMILE.
How about not over booking a space when you know it has limited seating.
I realize cost is important to keep shows going night after night but we all paid the full
$$$$. I also understand we aren't locals. We're just tourist to you and we deserve the experience of a lifetime.
Most of us are middle class. The majority of us take summer vacations,
spring breaks & fall retreats in the mainland. This Hawaiian trip was a Bonus.
Why not have every show special.
I didn't enjoy being hit & bumped every time a person got up to get food or head to the restroom.

Getting packed into a place so tight we had no elbow room to sit comfortably to watch the show.
I guess we did lucky when
Serveral small groups left after 10 minutes.
The show did get better once we could relax.
I loved that the preformers interacted with our kids. There was also a group of football guys from the University of Hawaii.
The team did a super cool dance routine that they actually preform when playing other Universities.

The M C gave us a little background history on the dance & that was nice.
It's a cool way of using a warm up routine to intimidate opposing teams..
It's more of mental warm up.
Showing part of the Hawaiian heritage is bonus.
I did enjoy the show once the getting stepped on stopped.
All the Laua people did a good job but
half of youe staff members had bad attitudes. It appeared as if they hated their job. The other half had awesome attitudes. They wanted to make sure we did enjoyed our food & along
    with the show.

The buffet was not worth the price we paid. Your Kitchen help & Chef kept getting behind & they got in hurry. They sent out spam not seafood.
    Really?
Why would anyone do that because it's cheap or high school kids wouldn't notice.

    They NOTICED.
We made the best of a bad situation I tried a couple of things I'll never try again. Tarow Root must be a acquired taste.
The Poey reminded me of the Glue paste I used in kindergarten & it tasted just as bad if not worse.

I'm giving the Luau 3 stars. because the show got better once some of the crowd left.
    I might give Laua a 2nd chance.
If we do return please live up to a 5???? review.
    Oh! STOP feeding guest spam!!

    Spam cost $
    We payed $$$$

I encourage management to hire better staff. Teach them to like the job you hire them for. If they don't let them go. I'm sure many others need employment.
Don't let groups like ours be disappointed. We can't get this experience back for our kids who worked very hard to raise money for it.

First luau and we really enjoyed it! Food was pretty good and the show was great in my opinion. Friendly staff as well. Only downside was it was inside instead of outside due to weather

What an amazing experience. From the greeting. To the drinks and food. The people and the show. Location is also amazing. Loved every second of it.

This was my first experience at a Hawaiian luau and it was fabulous, the place is marvelous with a beautiful view of the beach and the sunset, very friendly staff at the luau itself, the dancers are so professional and the show is pretty entertaining and interesting if you like the Hawaiian history, the food was great and they have a variety of options for vegetarian people so there are good food for everyone here, the sunset views are simply amazing and you will love the ambient here. I have to recognize that it's not a cheap experience so keep in mind that, but it's all worth it so you won't get disappointed. Usually you can make your reservation at the hotel where you are staying in so it's not necessary to buy the tickets at the place of the show. Great experience, excellent food, friendly staff and beautiful show. 5/5
