Alejandro's Mexican Food

One star deduction for parking, but the if you can find a space, the food is worth the trouble,... tasty and plentiful. Their wet burrito sells out fast so get there before lunch.

Pretty dang good Mexican food, and I’m from Southern California so I feel like I know what I’m talking about. Tiny little place tucked away in the foothills in back of a neighborhood, this is a true local gem. The ambience is colorful, authentic, and comfortable. Fresh horchata is delicious. Enjoy!

My cousins told me about this little gem. A "hole-in-the-wall" in Kalihi Valley. I fell in love with this place. The people are nice & friendly even their customers. And the food was really, really delicious. Two of my cousins eyes lit up after 1 bite. Good salsa. The burrito is huge and the taste "to die for." The Bartender makes a wonderful margarita. So good that I had to have another. And the Senorita waitress is now my best friend.
It's just too bad that parking is very limited, but it's worth the trip & wait.

Wow. Blown away at how good the food is here!! Was just trying to find some quick lunch on the way back home to Kailua, and decided to check out Alejandro’s. Tacos are the most authentic we’ve had here. The hot sauce is so ono. Carnitas are the BEST!!! So flavorful!! We had to get more. Salsa is so fresh and delicious. The outside is deceiving, just because it’s in the middle of a neighborhood. Employees inside were so friendly and cheerful. We will be back!!!

Good mexican restaurant for a quick bite. It's mostly a take out place but there's seating for a few guests. You can also sit at the bar next door. Food tastes great. Don't forget to get the flame grilled jalapeno on the side.
