Waited in drive through, order taker kept taking orders from far lane. 3 cars later, she takes my order. In parts. She needs to focus on one order at a time.
Very nice and sweet person big heary
Among the best especially on the side of town. Super close to the airport open late. Seasonal and local specials to include fresh cut pineapple and taro pie. Southwest chicken salad is on point great lettuce with mixed greens awesome chicken.
Had to stop by a McDonald's in Hawaii to try some local only menu items. This location is near by all the rental car pickups and gas stations, so a good place to stop in if you are picking up or dropping off a rental car.
Clean and modern McDonalds, has the automated ordering system present in most McDonalds nowadays.
I picked out the McTeri (Teriyaki burger) and Saimin noodles as a side (noodles with fish cake, seafood, and a bit of pork). Teriyaki burger was as expected, smothered in Teriyaki sauce, but it works.
Saimin noodles are fairly bland, but the fish cake and seaweed add to the flavour.
Manager of this location was friendly, I joked with him about why I was choosing these menu items, since I've never seen them before. Another staff member commented he didn't even know they served Teriyaki burgers, so maybe its a tourist thing? Worth the experience!
The real reason I would give any McDonald's 5 stars was because of this awesome cashier at the register. I was on my way to the airport to go back to SF. I saw an ad of the new McTeri burger passing by a McDonald's while I was touring around the island. I knew they don't have this on the mainland, so I must try it before I leave. The burger was messy & tasty. Get lots of napkins. But this lovely lady greeted me and my friend with the warmest welcome and goodbye. It was the best island hospitality I've felt since I got here. Its sucks that I only experienced this on the day I'm leaving Hawaii. Don't get me wrong, everyone was nice. Majority of them is doing the extra for the tips. She made us feel like she was family showing the concern and care. I felt true sincerity. I miss that from my island (GUAM). Definitely check this place out she is the one with the orange kukui nut necklace.
