Tonkatsu Tamafuji

Amazing and authentic tonkatsu, friendly Japanese staff. We arrived at 5pm on a Monday assuming the wait wouldn’t be too bad, but we ended up waiting more than two hours, which was rough. But once we were inside, we were warmly welcomed and never felt any pressure to rush through the meal. The unique imported pickles were also a highlight. Good luck!

Delicious food that is worth the wait. Beware the lack of parking, and be prepared to spend ~1 hour waiting for seats! Authentic atmosphere and helpful waitstaff that are willing to answer questions. The unlimited side dishes and sauces pair well with any entree. Unlimited rice with different options, like multi-grain, so try them all!

Very popular for good reason: excellent service, decent pricing for good food, and a lot of traditional experiences. We enjoyed grinding our own sesame seeds, experiencing the side dishes and sauces. The wait is long, especially for large groups, so book in advance! The food is decent, it didn’t blow my mind but for many it’s as close to authentic as we’ve had outside of Japan!

This place is definitely worth the wait!!! I've never liked eating Tonkatsu until I tried it in Japan. This place definitely compares! They don't take reservations over the phone so you gotta get there early to put your name on the list!

Tonkatsu Tamafuji is the best cartoon we have ever had on this island and it will be the best that you will have on this island. Not oily outside is Crisp but not hard very moist and tender on inside. Outstanding service and speedy service. the sauces was amazing and the side vegetables was fresh and tasty. I don't give out very much five stars if any at all, this was worth five stars!!! parking can get a little tight if you're there a little earlier in the evening it is a minimal parking area a lot of street parking if you don't mind walking.
