I always get their fish tacos. These tacos have sashimi grade Marlin and comes with rice and beans on the side. The rice and beans alone are the best I've ever had and I'm not normally a fan of either. The food is to die for. This place also has outstanding customer service. This place is a real gem and I'm so glad I discovered it about a year ago. I have turned many people on to this place. I personally think this is the BEST Mexican restaurant on the island. If you haven't tried this place, don't hesitate to try it NOW!!
Staff is always very friendly, food is generous and delicious with great flavors +++
Highly recommend! This has quickly become a favorite for my husband and myself. The food is always delicious and brought out in a timely manner. The interior is small but so wonderfully decorated and pleasant. Saving the best part for last, the wait staff is attentive (but not overbearingly so), very friendly and by far the best experience we've had on island when it comes to hospitality. I wish they had longer hours but that's not even worth dinging them a star for. If you want good, authentic Mexican food and to support local business this is the spot for you.
As a Mexican I am always looking for good Mexican food in Hawaii. The food here is original. It is not Tex-Mex, it's authentic food from different parts of Mexico. A must go if you're in the Wahiawa area or great stop on the way to North Shore!
After being introduced to Barrio Cafe through a Yelp event showcasing their ceviche additions to the menu, I’ll be bringing my husband here since we’re continually searching for great Mexican food on island.
It’s off the beaten tourist path, but well worth the drive just for the horchata - a creamy drink made of rice milk and cinnamon that is just amazing. The ceviche is also stellar, and I look forward to sampling the entire menu!
