This place is pretty good and i liked it. The food taste great and we had no problems. We got cheesecake and it was not that great and it was frozen
Good food! Good atmosphere!! Even though we did not have a reservation the manager kindly accommodated us - we had an elderly person in our party- !! Thank you!! I recommend this place! Dessert? Wonderful!!
My hubby and I went to Oak Barrel for our first time. We got there at 5:00 pm on a Friday night and the place was empty. One side of the Oak Barrel was a huge bar and pool tables, the other a dining room. As we entered. we saw the bar and pool tables first and started to leave. Then I saw writing on the wall stating the restaurant down the hall. We decided to try the restaurant out. We stated off with their clam chowder. It was fabulous and filling. My hubby ordered lamb chops. He said they were just okay. I ordered the chicken. One piece was a thin breast that was hard to chew. The other a thigh without any favor. I gave a piece to my hubby, and he just left it. However, the presentation was pretty, but the food was a disappointment. We both ordered garlic mashed potatoes. They were served with a huge chuck of butter in the middle. The potatoes were like a paste with no taste of garlic. We left the potatoes too.
Im sure others love this restaurant, but it wasn't to our liking. This restaurant just isn't our style. I'm pretty sure we won't be coming back.
What a pleasant surprise! I stopped in at the Oak Barrel late afternoon. It was a cool oasis on a hot day. I tried their Paloma which was made with some fresh mint. It was delicious! Their Salmon Ciabatta Sandwich was also very tasty. The sandwich had a generous portion of nicely cooked salmon that was perfectly seasoned. I chose a side of fries that were also delicious. Anthony recommended the Guinness Chocolate Cake for dessert. The cake was not overly sweet and was served with vanilla ice cream. I couldn't have asked for better service. Anthony took great care of me - he checked back with me to ensure I was enjoying everything. Kudos to the Oak Barrel of Eagle for a great experience!
