The Schnitzel Garten

Me and my husband have wanted to try this restaurant for a super long time and finally got around to it tonight. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. We got a pretzel with light salt, beer cheese, and the sampler platter. Tons of food. Lots of leftovers. My husband says it was one of the 3 best meals he has had in Idaho. The beer boot was fun. We'll definitely go back again.

Outstanding Real German cuisine, schnitzel excellent, all the trimmings superbly real German. The beer is also the real deal. The sausages appear directly connected to the real German Metzger.

I enjoyed eating here, but as a person with limited appetite I ended up ordering off the kids and appetizer menu. The asparagus was great but pretty small for $10. The equivalent of German mac & cheese they have for kids was insanely good. The cheese pull game was strong if you're a food blogger. 😂 The service was iffy but pleasant. Just seemed inexperienced, but I think personality counts. A friend got stroganoff and it wasn't much food for the price. The dessert, apple strudel, is enough for two people. It was amazing. The apples were cooked perfectly. If you're a carnivore it's fabulous to go. I consider the price point a bit high, as did my companions. Worth trying if you want tons of German food.

I love German food and this place was great! We did have to wait a bit for the food to arrive, but it was worth it! So delicious... everyone loved what they ordered. We will be going back!

There were 6 of us that tried it tonight. Not one of us were disappointed! The food was amazing, staff were great and very friendly! Can't wait to come here in the summer for the outside patio. My husband said they made the red cabbage just like his grandma did! Zion was wonderful... he gave us excellent service!
