Amazing bistro. Down to earth, caring staff. I've had the pleasure of personally getting to know the owner as well, and she's truly an amazing soul that cares deeply for her staff and customers. Food is exceptional. Most items are made from scratch (like their amazing gravy), and it's obvious their cooks + kitchen staff CARE! The owner offers free thanksgiving dinner for local families every year, and their wine dinners and special events are truly memorable. Wonderful and essential part of downtown Meridian, hands down.
This has quickly become one of our favorite spots for breakfast. But we were pleasantly surprised at their new dinner menu. What a find. Comfortably air-conditioned inside, or weather permitting a fabulous outdoor seating area overlooking Meridian Square.
The decor is quirky and cool. We have always had outstanding service for breakfast and dinner was just as great. But the real surprise was the excellent and reasonably priced dinner items. They have an extensive wine list, really quite diverse and surprising, and the markup is very fair.
My wife had the Huckleberry Salmon. Fresh Salmon from the flat grill draped with huckleberry beurre rouge sauce accompanied by green onion potato latkes and seasonal vegetables. She loved it. And she is a very picky salmon eater. Just $26
I had the Chicken Piccata. Very generous portion of chicken breasts in a lemon caper butter sauce with shallots, grape tomatoes, and chives served with brown butter cappellini. All for $19.
Add an excellent Australian Shiraz for $35 and this was one of the tastiest and best value meals we have had in the Treasure Valley for quite some time.
Great job, Deja Brew Bistro!
Deja Brew Restaurant in Meridian truly stands out as a delightful dining experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance of the restaurant set a welcoming and comfortable tone for our meal. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the burger with fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful, making every bite an absolute pleasure. It's rare to find a burger that is both succulent and well-seasoned, but Deja Brew has nailed it.
The fries were a revelation in themselves - crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. They complemented the burger wonderfully, adding just the right amount of crunch and flavor to the meal. It's evident that Deja Brew pays attention to the details, ensuring that even a classic dish like burger and fries feels special and gourmet.
Moreover, the service at Deja Brew was exceptional. The waitresses were not only helpful but also genuinely friendly, contributing to a warm and inviting atmosphere. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. Their recommendations were spot on, and their prompt service meant we weren't left waiting.
Overall, our experience at Deja Brew was memorable for all the right reasons. Great food, fantastic service, and a cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit spot in Meridian. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
If I lived here I’d be a regular. Both the food and the coffee were amazing! I had a oatmilk mocha and my sister had a cinnamon roll latte - very authentic flavors and super smooth. The food was all so delicious as well!
