Smokin Iron BBQ

I was very excited to have a new BBQ restaurant in Meridian! I went to Smokin Iron on a Saturday evening with my father and brother 4 days after the restaurant opened.It is a small place. The decor is very basic. It's a very basic order at the Cash register style of restaurant.
It's a little on the expensive side. The Ribs and Brisket 🍖 had a nice 🙂👍 👌 smokey flavor. The Ribs were done with the meat falling off the bone like in Texas. I really liked my so-called Texas Caviar made with Beans and vegetables. The sliced Brisket was excellent!
I intend on going back soon to have one of the Large Baked Potatoes 🥔 that come stuffed with Barbecued Meat!

As a recent transplant raised in Texas I can say this place is like home away from home! My husband and I have tried just about every restaurant here looking for a taste of Texas and finally found it. We’ve been waiting for weeks for this place to open. Worth every bit. The brisket sells out so go in early. Everything else we tried was amazing. Dessert is a must! Tanya and Katie helped us today. Both were SO NICE! We are bringing all our friends in next time.

If you're looking for a good authentic Southern barbecue experience this is the place. The owner and operator of this establishment is from the Southern States. I grew up eating good quality Southern barbecue myself and I would be willing to take my father that is from Louisiana there to eat. You definitely get what you pay for in this establishment. Also they have great choices for those that do not handle spicy food also as my wife doesn't handle heat very well. Now as for me I enjoy some good heat to my spice and they do provide. This establishment is highly recommended by me and the rest of my family I will return again multiple times.

Charming joint with Big Tex Energy. The brisket sandwich is lights out amazing and top it off with banana pudding cheesecake topped with carmelized bananas!

10/10 best bbq in the valley if not the state

Opening day and I timed it to go after the lunch rush. Tonya and team will make you feel right at home - they really speak BBQ! If you don't like smoke, this is not the place for you. But if you love tender and moist brisket, they have this dialed in. Would I eat there again? So many choices to try. I look forward to going back to try the ribs. But first I want to dig into one of those huge potatoes with a good helping of good BBQ on top. Great food, fast service - in a casual environment. My only complaint - not quite as rustic a location that I usually find when I enjoy my dose of BBQ when traveling.
