    The Cowboy Pit is one of my favorite places to eat. Jim and his wife Debbie make awesome Texas style BBQ that’s reasonably priced. So if you’re looking for great BBQ and you find yourself in Oldtown, ID., be sure to stop in and pay them a visit. They will certainly appreciate your business and you won’t be disappointed! 😊

    Kids and I enjoyed the food here. The owner was wonderful. Him and his wife run the pit and do a pretty great job with the food. Solid Texas BBQ flavors imo. None of my kids complained other than about the amount of food on their plates which we gladly took for leftovers for their dad when they couldn't finish. Veteran owned, good hospitality and yummy food.

    Little bit of a wait, but it was dinner time and the people ahead of me ordered a few thing. Plus I've been looking for a good French dip sandwhich. Well the wait was worth it! Sandwhich and fries tasted great!

    Some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. Didn’t expect to find this on this side of the country. Their tritip is especially fantastic. And the prices are very affordable. I’ve been meaning to explore all the restaurants here but i keep coming back to this one!

    Below is their tacos for 10 bucks, with pulled pork.

    The other day i got a baked potato for 9 dollars and i got two meals out of it. The potato was so loaded with meat and toppings... you couldn’t see the potato.
