The snow and terrain was beautiful, runs were nice and long, a great variety of runs for seasons skiers to absolute beginners, BUT skier and snowboarders are supposed to be a tribe and act like it. The ticket gal in one of the first building that you come to in the village must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. She seemed to be bothered by DOING HER JOB and helping us buy tickets. There was nothing abnormal about the request and no reason for her to be grumpy, but she acted so bothered. It made for a sad start to an otherwise enjoyable day. The lift operators seemed nice. One was singing karaoke through his speakers quite loudly (not a problem) and it seemed like they were generally having a good time. The vibes ON THE MOUNTAIN were fun too, but ppl in the village just didn’t seem to treat ppl as though they were all part of the skiing and snowboarding tribe. Parking was an absolute pain, but we did go on a discounted day, so maybe that played into the parking situation.
We went up during the summer and had a blast with our kid and family. This place has a lot to offer all year round and definitely something here for everyone!
Beautiful resort with good energy. The road winds around quite a bit on the way up there but it’s worth the trip! We saw a cool yurt and cute cabins in the woods too. Thank you Abby Lodmer & Matt Lome for the recommendation! I will definitely be telling my brother about this majestic place because he loves to ski.
