Scotch Pines Golf Course

Played 9 holes twice in a week. Was an ok course. No water and limited sand.
Greens are a work in progress.

We drove out from east Boise and had a wonderful day of golf playing Scotch Pines for the first time. Course was in good shape and the greens were very challenging (at least for me today). Add in some wind and ravines equals a challenging fun day! Folks are courteous and friendly and don’t forget a burger at the 19th hole! Look forward to playing there again soon. Thanks!

The course is amazing! A few dry spots, but overall a challenging and fun 18 holes! The pro shop staff was so nice and accommodating, but the bar was under par. I believe the name was Doris and she was completely rude the entire time. The bar is supposed to be a fun place to hang out, but she made it so we didn't want to sit inside. This was my first time at this course, and I am very unimpressed with the bar staff. Again though, the course is very beautiful and definitely worth trying out! I'd Of given five stars if the bar/restaurant was a little more professional.

This course is in rough shape. Though I will admit, the back nine was in better shape than the front. Off of the second tee I landed right in the middle of the “fairway”. My drive came to rest on a large patch of bare dirt in the middle of the course. The greens are long and slow, like putting on high pile carpet.
On the back nine we had maintenance hold us up three holes in a row. At one point it looked like they were going to let us pass. They were looking right at me with engine off as I took my practice swing. I stepped to my ball, just started to take my club back and they gunned it up the fairway in front of me. I couldn’t help but laugh. I don’t think the driver really knew what was going on. Due to the fact that maintenance held us up. The group behind us, not noticing this, hit into us repeatedly. An easy thing to do with as much elevation change as there is here. It’s simply hard to see players in front of you. The course is set in a beautiful area, it could be better, but I appreciated it for what it was.

Bartender Kiara is five stars - Changed my opinion about this place. She makes a fire Mojito.
