Our first time coming to Cutwater. We had a wonderful table by the window to enjoy the sunset on the lake and mountains, even had a deer parade! Our server Ann , was fantastic and our food and drink delicious. We had the Steak Frites, and the Thai Green Curry with Shrimp. Drinks hubby had a perfectly made Manhattan and I had the Huckleberry lemonade. We definitely will be back!

Stopped by Cutwater on our visit to McCall. It's a nice place with a nice view. We ordered the Thai Green Curry with tofu and the Pan Seared Pork Tenderloin.

The curry was delicious, definitely recommend it. The pork tenderloin was good but the saffron risotto was not tasty at all. It might be my taste buds for saffron as it was my first time but it tasted like cheap Mac n cheese powder risotto and left most of it on the plate.

Overall I gave it a four Star review as the service could have been a bit better, we waited a while to get our check.

Stopped in for lunch on this cold Sunday in McCall. I really enjoy this place, you get the best view of Payette Lake, the food is great and reasonably priced, and they have a good beer selection. Today's ice cold Hazy's hit the spot and the chicken quesadilla and chicken tortilla soup were absolutely great. Thanks

When you head to The Cutwater on Payette Lake at the Shore Lodge for a midday meal, you might be in for a pleasant surprise. Initially, you could find the main dining area closed until later, but don't let this deter you. A hidden delight awaits downstairs – a second, lesser-known bar area that serves lunch.

This cozy spot offers a warm ambiance and a menu that, while concise, doesn't skimp on taste. The Prime French Dip and Grilled Chicken Sandwich come highly recommended. Each dish is crafted with attention to detail, featuring quality ingredients that shine through in every bite. The Prime French Dip, with its tender meat and flavorful au jus, stands out, while the Grilled Chicken Sandwich strikes a perfect balance of hearty and satisfying flavors.

The standout feature here is the service. The staff are not just efficient but also genuinely warm, making your visit comfortable and enjoyable. Their attentiveness adds a personal touch to your dining experience.

But the real gem of The Cutwater is the view. As you dine, you're treated to the breathtaking scenery of Payette Lake. The picturesque views complement the meal, elevating a simple lunch into an unforgettable experience.

In summary, The Cutwater's downstairs bar is a hidden gem for a delightful lunch. With its delicious food, exceptional service, and stunning lake views, it's a perfect example of how the best experiences often come from the most unexpected places.

My husband and I came up for his birthday weekend, and I booked a table online - easy to do and followed up with a phone call to make sure we got a table with a lake view. Cutwater delivered hugely - got table right next to the lake, had a great appetizer of potato croquettes, wonderful mains of the ribeye and halibut (slightly overcooked to my liking but nice and flaky), and the strawberry roulade for dessert. However, when I booked, I mentioned we were going for my husband's birthday, and they also surprised him with a cupcake - so sweet and thoughtful. We definitely recommend it to everyone!
