The Sushi Bar

So I made a MAJOR mistake when arriving to the restaurant, I didn't realize that reservations were needed but despite the confusion I was moved to a different seating arrangement and was treated to the best sushi I've ever had in Idaho after trying places from Idaho Falls to Boise. The service was awesome, the atmosphere was great and you get a beautiful view of the lake from pretty much anywhere in the dining area.

I got the 8 piece nigiri and the miso soup and both were incredible and comparable to places I've been in OR and WA.

Thank you again to the staff for being considerate of my blunder and treating me to a wonderful meal.

Super cute place! My bf and I went around 7pm. The hostess gave us an annoyed look when we said we didn’t have reservations… but she was able to seat us at the bar. I got the large house hot sake, which tasted great but didn’t stay hot for very long in the pitcher, so it was cold for half the meal. The sushi was FANTASTIC! Melt in your mouth delicious. I did order a bowl of miso soup which the waitress forgot about, when I asked she didn’t remember me ordering it and had to go back and look at the computer to check. Then she finally brought it out at the end of the meal. We were going to order their signature dessert but the waitress came back and placed our bill on the counter and walked away without saying anything…. Then we didn’t see her for another 15 minutes. So we gave up on ordering dessert and just left after paying.

Overall the food was great but the service wasn’t. It wasn’t all that busy and she wasn’t the only waitress working, and they missed out on us ordering more. Next time maybe I’ll just do takeout 🤷🏻‍♀️
