Tacos were good, beans were very tasty place was quiet, not like some blasting music places. And the owner is a fellow veteran, what a good way to help out a brother in arms! A little off the beaten path, but I will definitely be back!
The food is always fresh, made with real ingredients! Sophia's original recipes are amazing! Michael and the waitstaff every time have been friendly and attentive. We go there often and I highly recommend giving them a try!
The day we were there we were the only person there. We didn't have a great experience the last time we were here so it took us several months to work up the courage to try again. It didn't start out well; we asked for the crab jalapeño poppers, only to be told they were out of crab and had been for a couple of weeks. Since my entrée was going to be the crab mac and cheese, that wasn't going to work. I suggest putting a piece of washi tape over any menu item you don't have available.
When we found things they did have, they were well seasoned, well cooked, and there was plenty of it. My DH hamburger was a definite knife and fork burger with well seasoned patties, grilled mushrooms and well melted cheese. The fries were good and crispy: there is nothing worse than a limp fry and there's were GBD (golden brown delicious) with just enough salt.
The staff were attentive and helpful and I'm glad we gave them another shot. I hope they get their supply issues dealt with (or pivot to basque chorizo jalapeño poppers and Mac and cheese) and get more hard ciders in. We'll be back
