Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have food prepared for your convenience. If you want to order while inside you can as well. They prepare your food quick and it’s always tasty. Long time Hyde Park go to for our former President “Barack Obama”. I always get the breakfast and it’s delicious.
My favorite place to go when I want a home cooked meal but I'm on the go. They have a great variety of meals at dinner time and they serve breakfast all day. The food is always good!
This is a Buffet style restaurant. Food is reasonably priced and the service is good. Be advised, they don't accept credit or debt cards of any type!! There is a cash machine in the restaurant that you can use to get cash for your meals. Also be advise though, to use the cash station, there is a rather hefty "surcharge" from the company who owns the mechine. My advise, is to get cash from another source and have it ready before you enter the restaurant!!
I love Valois with all my heart. It's cheap, delicious cafeteria-style food—great for breakfast, but don't discount it for lunch or dinner. The short ribs are to die for. The employees are all very workmanlike, but also really funny and kind. If you make yourself a regular, they'll remember you.
This is my ideal restaurant atmosphere—utterly unpretentious and focused on service. Most people don't tip, but it's a good idea to leave a few bucks on the table anyway.
If you want the student discount, bring it up yourself—the cashier won't ask.
First time here, came at lunch with three other first-timers. Food was excellent, prepared quickly while going through the line. Prices much less than if the restaurant was on the North Side for same quality.
