This is an incredible restaurant in all aspects! The ambiance is comfortable yet you feel you are in a place that only caters to famous people because that's how they treat you. The staff works as a pro team and every thing is on point. But, what steals the show is the food. Wow. Everything we had was amazing, my personal favorite is the grilled octopus; that alone will keep me coming back as a regular!! Hats off to the chefs and owners!
The risotto, which was only on the specials menu, was delicious. The salad I had w toasted farro on it was bizarre. Felt like I was eating salad with cereal on top. Only big downside was having reservations for 730pm and not getting sat until 8pm or so.
Another great Italian restaurant in Chicago. In the suburbs just off the main drag. Excellent maitre d' and waiters. The main part of the restaurant is elegant and the decor sophisticated. There is a summer "extension" with awning walls. It is well heated in winter, although the fan heating can be a little noisy but don't let that put you off going to this restaurant. The food is excellent. The octopus starter is truly superb...... succulent, tasty and tender. We could have been in Sicily, it was so fresh. Valet parking is available.
We came hear without intending to and didn't have a reservation. Managment was very nice and pushed a couple tables together to seat our group of 5. We all ordered varieties of pasta, all of which were excellent. Ask for Alberto, he's the best!
