The menu has an interesting mix of Filipino, Mexican, and American dishes. Everything I ate was good. The cocktails were a suprise treat! I'd definitely go back.
Last Friday was my first time here, but won't be my last. It was great. The appetizers and main dishes my friends and I shared were all great. We met the owner, who's energy and passion for her restaurant and food was very apparent.
Awesome atmosphere. The tocino is made in house and the fried Red Snapper was amazing.
Excellent service, mediocre flavor.
I live near Kubo so I really wanted to like it, however the lack of flavor in their food let me down.
With Filipino food being known for it’s punch I expected the Pork Adobo Ribs to deliver but they fell short. While they looked to have had a ton of seasoning the final result came out flat. I also tried the seafood curry and while it was better, I can’t help but feel that were simple because of the fish and not the actually curry.
I may be being too hard on this place but they are one of the few Filipino restaurants in the area so I had high expectations.
Pros:
-Friendly staff
-Great environment for dinner and drinks
Cons:
-Food lacking the punch I’ve grown accustomed to with traditional Filipino flavors
I popped in for a quick dinner before an appointment. All the employees were friendly and service was great. My meal was awesome too. The Philippino cuisine looked delicious though I'm no authority. I hope more folks give it a try. They had a weekend brunch too (thought if you are looking for eggs and bacon this isn't the spot). Great dining for adventurous eaters.
