Food and service was fantastic. Delighted that we have a decent Vietnamese stop in the city. There are too few options. If you guys can address the noise level a little with ceiling tiles so we can more easily talk across the table that would be even better.
This is one of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time- and it’s only their first week of being open!
All of our food was delicious and fresh, especially the egg rolls and shaking beef. Our service was fantastic and everyone who helped us was so nice. The restaurant itself is also modern and well-designed and overall had a great vibe. Will definitely be back!!
Support this new, mom & pop restaurant! The couple who owns Sochi immigrated to Chicago recently from Vietnam and brought their passion for food with them — Fresh, delicious dishes!
The Vietnamese egg rolls, spring rolls, vermicelli salad, crab fried rice, and of course Pho are all outstanding. The desserts and coffee are no joke too! Try the casava cake, flan, or cheesecake...Made in-house by the owner’s mom. It’s BYOB for now (but heard they’ll have a full bar soon).
They have unique items on the menu too that most other Vietnamese or Vietnamese-American places don’t have.
Had an opportunity to come to this place on its grand opening day. The atmosphere was very open, refreshing and friendly. I was amazed by the hospitality of the staff on that busy first day. Very responsive and polite. It was a rainy day and the aroma of Pho brought back to me the memories of Vietnam, which reflects the authenticity of the Saigonese cuisine. Pho was amazing, not overwhelmed but very delicate and well crafted by passion. Definitely a place I can trust and will come back.
The eggplant is delicious. Naturally sweet and savory. Common in Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine, but rarely seen in American Vietnamese restaurants.
Crab fried rice is excellent as well. I'm usually not a fan of fried rice.
We also loved the shaking beef. It was very tender.
Cheesecake was exceptional! It's got 2 different layers (orange gelatin and cheesecake) and a coconut cookie crust.
