This is my childhood diner, been coming here with my mom and sisters for years. Atmosphere does feel a lot different now that hipsters are rolling in not leaving tips to these hardworking women, I wouldn't blame them if they overcharge these corporate rich people. Other than that its the cutest place where all the ladies call me "chiquita" just like my tias and grandma would. Still feels like home.

This is really amazing place for great food and great comfort. It's peaceful for friends to catch up and enjoy each others company.

good neighborhood diner. Owners are nice people. No good vegetarian selections though, but they will whip something up for you. If you are vegetarian, you may want to go someplace else, but the
regular stuff is just really good. Everything made fresh on a griddle in front of you!

We live down the block and come here regularly. It's our favorite place to get breakfast. We say it's a little bit little like going on vacation. The service is friendly and the food is delicious! It's a greasy spoon diner in the best way possible. For years I'd seen it but would always go to Don's Grill because it was open 24 hours and was "the ironically cool" place to go at 5am after a night of partying. Then one day it occurred to me that eating at Don's is way too similar to eating in County jail and now I cant go there anymore unless I'm truly desperate. Anyway, Parkview is in my heart. I love it here!

I came in for coffee once and made a point of coming back hungry after getting a look at what everyone was eating. Thursday's soup is barley, and I had as part of a special with a Tuna sandwich for $8.50.

It was served with a big jar of hot red salsa and limes on the side- not what I'd normalcy think to flavor that kind of soup with- but they know what they're doing! I chose a 6 in. roll of French bread for the sandwich. The tuna salad was clearly made that morning, with fresh tomatoes and celery.

Their serving dishes are all high quality and interesting to look at. The sprawling counter-serve layout creates a very cozy atmosphere. The service us among the best I've ever encountered. Though I don't live in the neighborhood, I think I could make a habit of this place!
