312 Fish Market

The sushi at 312 Fish Market is so fresh and delicious I recommend the Dragon and Tiger Maki! The Seaweed Salad is so refreshing the prices are great considering the freshness of the fish! I highly recommend this restaurant! I will be returning soon!

We went there for my birthday almost a month ago and had the Omakase 101 course. It consisted of 10 different types of sushi pieces. They were all amazing! But above all, our chef Joe, was incredible. He had an amazing knowledge of every piece he was preparing for us and provided us with lots of information and description of the different pieces. When he knew it was my birthday, he offered us 3 additional pieces on the house and a drink! He is very friendly and funny. We had a wonderful experience and it was one of the best sushi I’ve ever had! Going back again this weekend.
The place is BYOB and is located inside 88 Marketplace with free parking.

really fresh fish, well seasoned rice and served at the right temperature - just really stunning flavor combinations. we got an assortment of nigiri including chutoro and otoro- both were absolutely the right cut of fish and the right thickness on the right amount of rice. a complete surprise tucked in 88 marketplace, with a counter and omakase service which I will definitely be back for. we came here after trying to get into sushi+ rotary in Chinatown only to be turned away over there with a 2 hour wait, we walked right up here and were seated immediately, served extremely kindly and given some excellent recommendations.

Impeccably fresh and tasty fish, immaculately prepared, and carefully delivered incredibly fast. Who could ask for anything more? Try the special roll with fatty tuna, scallions and salt. Delicious!

This restaurant is located inside the new 88 Market which I shop at quite frequently. When this place first opened, I was skeptical since it was opened inside a grocery store. I had a few friends recommend this place saying how fresh the fish was. So I decided to give it a try the next time I went.

Honestly speaking, this place is pretty good. It's very different than most sushi restaurants I've been to. Now this isn't some 5 star restaurant or Michelin Star restaurant but I have to admit, their sushi is pretty fresh and spot on. I didn't try to order any special rolls. I kept it pretty basic to test the waters. I ordered a salmon roll/unagi roll and a few spicy temaki hand rolls. Speaking from experience, I've never had a spicy tuna/salmon hand roll that was NOT A MYSTERY MASHED CONCOCTION. This was the first time I've had a spicy tuna/salmon that was actual sliced squares of tuna/salmon mixed with their spicy sauce (was not that spicy). I was surprised and impressed. The fish was actually fresh and the price was also impressive for the quality you receive.

I recommend this place and expect to return to try more of their offerings.
