The perfect definition of a neighborhood gem. Over the years, mfk. has consistently been my favorite restaurant in Chicago! Plenty of reasons keep me coming back- super friendly and knowledgeable staff, curated coastal wine selections, rotating menu with new and exciting dishes, as well as my treasured staples: suzuki crudo, boquerones, cantabrian salt-cured anchovies and Basque cake! Always so much fun, mfk. even taught me how to drink from a porron... Cheers!

Food was good, atmosphere and service were good but portion sizes were extremely small for the cost. I came here for a late lunch recently and the bill was over 130$ for three people and I left feeling like I needed more to eat. Bread here is extremely good but you also have to pay for it... This would be a 10/10 if the prices were more reasonable.

I can't remember what i ate entirely but the escargot was really good! It's a great shared plate restaurant. Very small, might want to book a reservation as it fills up very quickly after 5. I really enjoyed my time here and will go back. Very cozy and tons of greenery. It's easy to miss from the street as it's kind of a basement.

Really impressed. Was in the area for a short time. The chef is ambitious and creative. Exquisite flavors and service. Ben was awesome at the bar. I felt like I was transported to a different place like Portland where it’s very personable and fresh. Thanks guys!
