I have been eating here literally before I was born. My mother came here when she was pregnant with me. I now take my daughter here. They are the best sandwiches ever! I drive in all the way from Naperville just to eat here now. The Capt'n gave me my first job. Great place that cares about the people and the community. I plan to one day bring my grand kids here. Please don't ever change. Soups and sandwiches are perfect.

Come for the submarine sandwiches and stay for the magnificent beef stew!!! Yes that is correct the beef stew is tremendous and in my humble opinion is better than some homemade recepies. The sandwiches are made with high quality meats fresh produce and are made hot out of the oven if you desire. The pricing is very reasonable and you definitely get solid value. The selection of soft drinks is tremendous as is the dessert options. The cakes are mouth watering. The restaurant is very clean and sanitary. The service is very polite and the staff know their products and answer all questions with great courtesy. Attend!!!

Delicious sandwiches and homemade soup. Old funky decor. Bathroom through the kitchen but who cares. I stop here every time I'm in rogers park.

High quality sub shop, I’ve heard this one is the original. Definitely recommend the Italian Sub, its phenomenal!
