We came here on the night of Chinese New year because we were afraid Chinatown was going to to be packed that night but we were not disappointed! It's a very cozy place with a fireplace and a free parking lot! We enjoyed all the dishes from the rice cakes to the seafood soup with homemade noodles. We liked that the flavor was on the lighter side (good light) reflecting cuisine from northern China. Delicious and authentic, great reasons to come back!
Superb service in a clean nice atmosphere. The menu is huge. We ordered theee appetizers of dumplings, North China pancakes, and the house special long potstickers. Delivery was on point, servers brought the dipping sauces before the appetizers arrived. All were delicious! Entrees included eggplant in garlic sauce, cumin lamb, and shredded pork in garlic sauce. Eggplant was amazing! The meat eaters said the lamb was equally amazing with the pork in second. Highly recommend this gem as it has something for everyone and very flavorful too. We will be going back for sure!
Northern Chinese, a region less known but growing for sure. A much more authentic feeling than many other spots. Service is hit or miss, but always friendly in my multiple visits. Expansive menu, so it is good to try new things with each visit.
My friend from Beijing introduced me to this place; it was his favorite Chinese restaurant in Chicago. It's now my favorite Chinese restaurant that I've been to, including ones in Boston and San Francisco. Go here. It's delicious. Get the crispy pork pancakes.
