The ube milk bars are my new favorite dessert.
Asian fare, but not the cuisine that most Americans are familiar with. Pinchos are Portuguese tapas, and are featured here at this Macau-ese inspired establishment. If it seems like a mix of cultures that's because it is, but you should be in for an interesting experience in you just relax and enjoy.
You need to try these pastries. You'll find a combination of colors, smells and flavors that will make this a memorable experience. Overall, some things are too sweet for me when i expect savory, like the breakfast cremoso, and some are not sweet enough. I'd love to be able to have an espresso here, although i have tried some of their coffee flavors and they're great. They have outlets and wifi, and the music is very pleasant.
Definitely some of the most creative (read: unconventional) pastries in the city. The Chicago hot dog bun is a fun twist on a local favorite through the lens of Chinese/Macanese baking. It's a fun vibe, too. A touch expensive when you consider that the Chinese bakeries in the city can provide something quite similar(ly delicious) for a third/quarter of the price, but such is the price for creative eating.
Love this place. Where else can you find a Chicago style hot dog pastry, with bright green relish, mustard, and a hot pepper? Toward closing on Sunday the pastries are marked down 50 per cent. A great addition to Fat Rice next door.
