Apart from the great food and awesome cocktails, Farm Bar always seems to have one of the best beer selections compared to many of the other nearby bars and pubs. They always have something new on tap and don't overly rely on the usual craft go-to's (Goose Island, etc...). If you're down for beer and burgers, this is the place to try.
Farm bar is a great and quiet neighborhood place to eat or have a craft cocktail. Their thing is Midwest, so everything is sourced from there: from potatoes and beef to gin and bourbon.
We mostly go for weekend brunch but dinner there is very tasty as well.
Spicy smashed potatoes and eggs benedict are a great brunch entree, and it'll definitely fill you up.
On occasion the place can be a bit slow on the service of it's busy but nothing extreme.
I'd give this place 5 stars, but the prices are a tad too high, even for this neighborhood, so it's 4/5.
We recently moved into the area, and Farm Bar has very quickly become one of our favorite spots for food and drinks. The food is made using fresh local ingredients, and everything we have tried has been absolutely delicious! The beer list is also great, and gets updated frequently.
Great food and service. Can't go wrong with nice brunch. Thank you to both Eric's for the amazing service.
Well THAT was delicious - and what a charming little place! I stopped in to Farm Bar at a friend's recommendation and I'm so glad I did. The food is comforting, locally sourced, and delicious. I had the bavarian pretzel and the chicken soup. The beer cheese with the pretzel was a little thin for my preference but only barely and the pretzel itself was delicious. But the chicken soup?? I could eat that all day everyday. I'll be back to try more soon!
