Dear Margaret

Chef Ryan, Lacey, and Terry were phenomenal. Dear Margaret has food better than some of the big names in Chicago, but I promise you, has better service and hospitality than any of them. Great food, even better people. Can’t wait to dine with them again soon.

Amazing experience. We had a group of five and ordered family style so we shared everything. Best choice we made because we got to try so many different items. Everything was great. Our server was really nice and helpful also. Attached just a few of the dishes we ordered.

Great experience! Delicious cheese and crackers made for a nice app to enjoy with our Bordeaux (it was BYOB when we were there). Steak frites were perfectly cooked for the main course. We will be back!

Really great food. Seems like the right amount for a good meal is 1-2 smalls and 1 large per person. You can only do takeout now, but the person up front (who's super nice) said outdoor seating should come soon and indoor dining after that. Bonus points for: 1. their takeout boxes that are all those fancy plastic containers that can be recycled or put in the dishwasher for easy reuse, and 2. the ordering interface allows you to set your desired pickup time, which helps ensure the food is fresh when you get there for takeout

We have ordered from Dear Margaret several times over the last few months, and each time, the dishes are delicately chopped and plated, delicious, and beautiful. It’s actually quite astonishing how tasty their food is even as takeout, and we are comparing to quite a few other high-level restaurants in the area.

We have been consistently impressed with the quality of ingredients and with the seasonally changing selections.

The trout, the lamb, the broccoli side, and the chèvre cheesecake have been particular favorites. Thank you, Dear Margaret!
