I enjoyed the food with some friends of mine at this nice restaurant. The quality of the Sushi, Sashimi and Nagiri is really high. We also ate the Tuna tortillas as an appertizer, following the recommendation of our waiter. The sea weed salad is also fantastic. Great choice, amazing freshness and awesome composition. Fresh, with greens and spiced a bit, both a must have I would say. The place is nice and cosy, although the music was a bit noisy. The service was great, well trained and very friendly and supportive with the choice of food and drinks. They also have a great choice of Sake, which supports the Japanese style eating experience. The Soja sauce was also very good as was the Ginger and the Wasabi paste. Not too hot, but hot enough. Definitely a place to go if you enjoy Japanese style food.
1st visit and certain to return. Food was excellent. The menu has a nice variety and a good selection of adult beverages. Nice decor. Worth a visit.
Definitely get the sashimi. Best quality fish I’ve had in Chicago. Highly recommend!!
With Arami, the best sushi in town. The chutoro is heavenly. Beautiful service, exquisite fish, sleek space. I love Naoki.
Best sashimi and nigiri I’ve had in Chicago, hands down. I would even venture to say that it is on par with the best sushi I had while living in Japan - and I lived near the sea where there was always fresh fish available. Worth every penny. Sit at the bar if you can - it’s nicely lit and still feels spacious and intimate due to the excellent setup. And you can see all of Chef’s creations as they are passed to the servers! I also appreciated the casual yet polished atmosphere and the noise level, which was a comfortable hum but not so loud that I felt like I needed to raise my voice any more than usual.
