Great tap list, excellent small bites, nice atmosphere. Bottle shop has an impressive selection.
Amazing food, great service. I got a “grilled salad,” which I will admit I got solely because a grilled salad was in a kitchen nightmares episode. It was actually very tasty and well made. The wings are very tasty as well. The servers are all very friendly, as well as the chef who came out to serve us our food. Great place, I highly recommend.
I dig all things old Chicago. I also enjoy new Chicago. This place does both well.
Loaded tots were a huge hit with me and the wife. Afterwards we hopped over to the packaged goods side and picked up some beverages togo. Great selection.
Family run to boot. I’ll proudly support local family run businesses all day.
a wonderful and diverse beer list that unfortunately lives in a really uninviting environment. edison bulbs in clear glass lamp fixtures make for a SUPER bright bar. never in my life have i wanted to sit in a bright bar, no matter how amazing the beer list. if they just fixed the lighting, it'd be the best bar on the NW side.
EDIT: lighting has been dimmed. thanks!!
This place used to be located near Lawrence and Milwaukee. They have obviously moved locations but I think it may have been for the better. The space is alot bigger, looks livelier and the ambiance cannot be compared to the old establishment. They have also added more food items to their menu when before it was extremely limited to snack items and pizzas. The beers here were very flavorful. They have a pretty extensive beer/drink menu with a bottle/liquor shop attached to the bar. There service was good and friendly. I was a bit hesitant to try the new location but sometimes change is for the best and it definitely was in this scenario. I will be coming back without a doubt.
