    It's okay and it's also the one of only a few Mexican restaurants around. But, it gets the job done and they do provide the traditional Mexican caldos - menudo, pozole, y caldo de res - on the weekends. The area around El Alegre, when weather permits, provides for a unique experience where Chicago literally meets with a suburbia, but this is Chicago suburbia, so expect tattoo parlors, a bicycle shop and also a lot if furniture shops. Come see for yourself and see if you like what you taste. Oh, and the prices are right.

    Food is phenomenal here! Some of the best guacamole I've ever had! I've tried so many items here and I'm never disappointed. They are amazing and even prepare my favorite dish every week - even though it's not on the menu, avocado enchiladas!!
