My experience with restaurant week at Portsmith was alright. I was happy with my clam chowder and drink that I ordered. However, I was very disappointed with my entree --- the King Crab Carbonara pasta was very, very salty. The crab itself on the dish was very tender, but I could not finish the dish due to the salty pasta.

Overall, the ambiance and service was good.

A great place to go for seafood. I was here for restaurant week, so the portion was relatively small. But the taste was great!

Portsmith is a seafood restaurant. I recommend to order the menu of Chicago Restaurant Week 2019, which is a three courses menu. For the starter, I tried :Green Papaya Salad, very Thai-style, quite fresh. For the main, I think the LEMON SOLE was the right choice. The fish was like melt in my mouth when I ate it. I also ordered the Sauvignon Blanc which was a perfect match with the fish. As for the dessert, I had the Hazelnut Mousse Cake, I think it was nice and not too sweet.

We went for Restaurant Week brunch and very pleased. The Banana PB smoothie was great and i liked that the crab cake Benedict used the crab cakes as the base (no English muffin). The was extra lemon taste to the hollandaise which went well with the crab. They were also accommodating to our 3 yr old. My husband really liked his chicken sausage too.

I really like this place. The chef came and introduced himself and explained what we were having and talked about his children for a bit. We had vegan style seared avocados as part of our entree and it was so amazing. I don't know if that's something they regularly prepare, but if you have an opportunity, request it. You'll love it!
