Small menu, but everything is delicious and affordable. Fewer choices just means they have what they do well, and you can't go wrong. Interesting hours, open at 5am if you want to pick up lunch before work, etc. But closed on Monday which I often forget.

This place has the best tamales! I took my German friend here and we both loved their tamales Oxaqueños! I have also tasted their moles and pozole, so delicious! Often times we immigrants seek a piece of home and nothing brings back memories more so than food. So, this place is the closest I have found to authentic and delicious Mexican food (Central Mexico). Prices are fair and the staff is very friendly, it gets pretty busy as people have to have their tamales or champurrado, but it’s definitely worth the wait.

This is the time of year for tamales! Come and enjoy the delicious offerings here; the owner originally sold tamales on weekends at a parking lot (people would come by to seek her out, from all over the city!), but she proved so successful she was able to open her own restaurant. And what a restaurant it is!

Everything is fresh and wonderful, but I am especially partial to the tamales nejo.

Good place to get a quick dozen of tamales. He has green chicken and red pork sauce tamales. They are a little pricey, but good. A dozen tamales will be about 20.00. Just make sure you get a dozen. Was shorted a couple of times.
