Saw this place on Food Network and vowed to come when I visited. It is even better than I expected. Family recipe passed down. Where can you get this anywhere else in the world? I suspect nowhere. Go here now. You won't be disappointed.

Iconic place both visitors and daily folk of the windy city. They have such a unique one of a kind way of serving pizza and appetizers. The Mediterranean bread is one worth trying. Large flat circular bread that is doused in seasonings. The coolest part is that they just toss the bread on your table, so you eat right off the table. The pizza is cooked in a bowl then flipped upside down when they serve it. I would say it is similar to a pizza pot-pie.

Basically if you haven't been there, try it out. Only downfall is that you will most likely have to wait in line for some time before being seated. There is limited selection of seating inside but they seem to have fast service.

Try the appetizer bread and pizza bowl
    Cheers !

I would've gave them 5 stars but the front door old guy which might be the owner was very rude and very unprofessional, the food was really good especially their pizza bowl and server was awesome explaining everything however the pop tasted watered down and when I asked for a new one the "old guy owner" was shaking his head like I way lying and got annoyed. They charge for refills which I think is dumb but it is what it is ill just bring my own pop when I got next time.

My family has been frequenting this restaurant for more than 30 years now. This restaurant is truly one of the only places I have ever encountered that no matter the year, it is exactly the same. The Mediterranean bread is excellent, and make sure to add the extra spices. The pies are a unique experience and are just as good as I remembered. I am happy that there is finally an ATM inside after all these years. Being all cash, an ATM is essential. There are, of course rules to the place (think Soup Nazi). Don't grease their palms, no reservations even for 100 people, don't expect to get in and out quickly, don't try to take salad dressing home. These are basic things. Like many good things in life, if you wait in line and follow the procedure, this place will be great. If you make a scene or try to get ahead of the line, don't be surprised if you are lost in the shuffle. This place has all the charm of a landmark restaurant, and the best damn food!
