FANTASTIC place for toddlers through 1st graders. Less of a museum and more of a very diverse play and learning experience, the Kohl Children's museum has a series of rooms / areas with different themes designed to make learning interesting. The themed areas include a restaurant, a grocery store (currently sponsored by Whole Foods, and heavily branded), a vet's office, a water play area, and a play house. Older kids will be more interested in a civil engineering oriented area (blocks of specific sizes, weights, measures) and an art studio. The building itself is all one floor, and everything is in a relatively condensed area, so kids can run easily from place to place. Great way to spend a couple of hours. Easy trip from the north side of Chicago.
