Banh Mi & Co

This used to be part of a small chain of Pho restaurants here in Chicago. My fave was the one in Roscoe Village, which eventually closed. This is, I believe the last one standing, but it is really great. My personal fave is the Wonton soup, it has the best pork and ginger combo filler in the wonton---it is amazing, and probably the best in the city for imho. It is a small hole in the wall with about 10 counter seats. But, the bahn mi, and the pho is great during the cold as all get out Chicago winters. The only part that I don't like is that parking is a pain in the butt around the restaurant. Go and slurp it up, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

You have to go in and eat or pick up. On food delivery services different thing all together. Wan ton soup is perfect for a cold. Bahn mi is awesome I like the bbq pork hot and fresh cilantro. The surprise winner here is tye papaya salad with lemongrass chicken. Not at all what I expected, shredded like Cole slaw in a sweet vinagret with chicken and peanut. I am addicted now. Lychee lemonaid is great compliment to food.

Staff could be more friendly. However they were tentative. Food was good but the price is a little high for the style of food being served at this little shop. Ordered the chicken phô which had lots of noodles including the toppings and two sets of tasty spring rolls even though they were served on styrofoam plates. There are improvements to be made.

Loved this place when it first opened. The owners were around and made everyone feel welcome. The food is still good and the Pho is surprisingly amazing.
