The food was good and also the service. But put a close eye on your bill, because I left the waiter a good tip, to later find out that they had already charged me gratuity when we were only 5 eating , and the waiter never told me about how they had already taken the gratuity. If you ask me ..... that's wrong.
I wasn’t extremely impressed, but it was a good sandwich(maybe too much hype?). I had the Cuban-bread was good and there was plenty of meat. The mixed chips were only okay. The patio area probably would’ve been better in the summer, but it was still comfortable.
At every turn I was pleasantly surprised. It's BYOB. So we came with a bottle of wine. Waiter said "do you want that turned into sangria?" Why, yes I do good sir!
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was interesting, but not so much that it distracts.
I love the ambiance of this place. The decor is fun and makes you feel like you are in a Cabana on the beach even in December in Chicago. The food is always super yummy. Try the empanadas! We also loved the shrimp in garlic sauce.
Also, it's good to remember this is a BYOB.
Our meals were both delicious and beautifully presented. Great atmosphere. Both meal were less than 25 bucks. The service was quick. We enjoyed our meal; now back to Oak Street for more shopping and exploring Chicago.
