Harold's Chicken Shack West Loop

Food was good. Chicken tenders were nice and juicy, and the sauce was great! The portions are pretty big (I was actually satisfied with just one order of chicken tenders with fries, and I'm a pretty big guy), and the prices are actually quite low for the portions given. They do charge for extras, but other than that, the food is really cheap! Only $2 for a small order of fries, and their small is quite large, probably comparable to a large at a regular fast food restaurant. Service time was also reasonable, about 15 or 20 minutes. Never waited longer than 25 minutes, but usually closer to 20.

Update: I've tried other menu items, including wings, breasts, thighs, and shrimp. They're all equally tasty. I go here weekly.

I have eaten at Harold’s in Hyde park and this one is no hyde Park. Like the other reviews, the wait was ridiculous. However, if the food was worth the wait, I wouldn’t complain. The chicken tasted like old fried chicken that was refried because it was tough, dry and warm, not hot. You could tell the oil used to fry it was old. Not friendly staff. I live in the neighborhood and there are frequently suspect clientele at times.

Update 2/16/19: decided to give them another chance and I want to change my review. It was much tastier than the first time. Would be willing to try them again.

I have had the perch friend hard several times and so far I have yet to be disappointed! I pray they never do!
It’s best to call in your order if you can hopefully get an answer, otherwise it’s a 30min plus wait at times.
