You can find seolleongtang in some Korean restaurants -- it's not that uncommon. But REAL, cook-it-for-several-days seolleongtang is incredibly hard to find outside of Korea. It's thicker. It has more flavor, more nutrition, and feels more filling. Han Bat restaurant is an amazing resource that people just don't realize the quality of. You can get real, well-made seolleongtang here coupled with the best kimchi I have had in Chicago. If you've had a pale white soup at any Korean restaurant and liked it, come here and try the real thing. (Note -- seolleongtang is not spicy like many Korean foods. The amazing kimchi at Han Bat is a little spicy.)

Great tofu soup especially over rice. I like the original soup with beef or pork extra spicy. The assorted side dishes are good too.

This is a no frills Korean specialist, serves soup and it's variations. The ingredients will vary based upon the variation you order. Add the salt content you desire, along with other ingredients. This experience allows you to make the dish however you want. Hands down one of the very best in CHICAGO. This is a Korean owned and operated small specialty restaurant, that has no frills and a basic Korean menu, with the focus in the soup!

One of my favorite Korean soup place. Top notch beef brisket soup in town, fresh preserve radish root, fresh made Kimchi. Remember to put the green onions in the soup guys.
