Atelier is a beautiful restaurant in the old Elizabeth space, with a lot of the team carried over from Elizabeth restaurant. Chef Hunter's food is personal and just delicious, and there are lots of little things about what he does that I've never quite seen before in other restaurants. The service and care are every bit as great as they were at Elizabeth--just the top level of thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality. The wines and other drinks are great. My wife and I were blown away by the experience here when we visited, and we can't wait to go back again as soon as we can. This is one of the best restaurants in the city. It's one of those places that makes me feel grateful to live in Chicago.

My wife and I celebrated my birthday at Atelier on Friday. Food and service were amazing as always. We've visited multiple times and every visit has been unique and delicious. We really appreciate the creativity of Chef Hunter and the entire team.

All around incredible experience dining at Atelier! From the moment you walk in through your last bite, the experience does not disappoint.

The dining room is small, no more than 10 tables. It’s not too loud and it’s not too quiet. The music is great. The kitchen is open and in full view, yet it’s not distracting in any way, it doesn’t consume all of your attention. It’s still fun to take a peak and see what’s being cooked up next.

The tasting menu and wine pairing were incredible. Michelin star caliber. There wasn’t a bite that left me disappointed. The chef drew inspiration from cuisines and meals from different restaurants around Chicago, but all with a clear fine dining twist.

The pairings were all extremely well thought through and explained with great detail and passion by the sommelier who picked them. The orange wine was unique and a definite hit!

I’m excited to join Atelier again soon for their dinner with what I’m sure will be a unique menu. Things seem to change constantly with what they’re able to buy at local farmers markets.

Highly recommend and excited to see the accolades Atelier will earn.

Deserving a Michelin star fine upscale dining in the old Elizabeth place. Excellent tasting menu that offered great variety of excellent small dishes. They were innovative and fun plays on favorites. Better than some of other Michelin restaurants I've been to in Chicago in the past year.

The ambiance is chic gray and austere wood decorations. It's definitely an unexpected change as you may double check the address as you pull up to what appears to be a shuttered store front - love that.

Service was amazing, what you'd expect for the price and more.

Wine pairing was adventurous and bold, although I would prefer one or two more classic selections, but no complaints; there is only so much you can drink.

Overall an excellent addition to Chicagos fine dining.

Fantastic new restaurant taking over the space that Elizabeth left and at this time is making waves in food discussions. The tasting menu is fantastic and focused on food locally sourced and changing based on what is available and fresh. You will find an intimate small space with staff that is attuned to making your experience great. You get a walk through elevated
Midwest cuisine which is not easily found. The wallet in miso was a fun new way to eat a delicious fish. The chowder exploded with flavor. The opener larder was a spread of 5 dishes. And they finished off with a delicious foe gras creme brulee and homemade churro. Overall a truly enjoyable experience.
