Everything was fresh and delicious! You can tell they know what they are doing. All the best tequila options for their yummy tasting Margaritas. The inside outside dinning is so key for Chicago. This place is going to crush it in the city! So happy they opened here!
Normalize paper menus and human servers! Bartaco is your average small portioned, over priced inauthentic Mexican food. You won’t be able to hear yourself think. Maybe a worthwhile stop for happy hour and an appetizer. The ceviche is solid.
Went here last week and was floored. Their pork belly taco is one of the best tacos I’ve ever had (and I lived in Austin for 6 years and am a taco fanatic) and the staff and management there are amazing. My only critique was the spicy margarita I’d like a little more spicy but that’s a minor thing. Overall loved this spot and will be back regularly.
loved the food, drink, and vibes at bartaco!! thought the food was excellent- some of the better food i’ve had in chicago as of late. we got various tacos, chips and guacamole and salsa. drinks were also very delicious. giving a 4/5 because the service was lacking- took forever for our food and drinks to come out and our waiter left us hanging at the table for long periods of time. they’re new so i’m assuming service will get better with time! will definitely be back here soon
A beautiful new patio in Bucktown/Wicker.
The spicy margaritas were delightful.
The chopped salad with chicken was a smaller portion than expected but delicious.
Tacos were tasty but truly 2-3 bites each so I’d recommend 3-4 per person. They did have some interesting flavors like a falafel taco that I would like to come back and try.
The “chips” and salsa were quite weird. I would highly suggest new chips to stay competitive with all the great Mexican restaurants we have in Chicago!
The bar, patio and overall decor are beautiful. The paper ordering form was unique but would be easier next time now that I know the process!
