The place is really nice and the vibe was good. My wife had the ham and cheese croissant as for some reason there was a mix-up in their menu and they didn't have breakfast and noted. The server was really confused about this as well but either way the croissant was good. I had the hamburger and it was pretty basic. Unique sandwiches and salads is what this place is about. They also have their own bakery with lots of different coffee but I'm not a coffee drinker so I wouldn't come back with this place unless it was out of pure convenience.

First time getting food to go and it was just delicious. Great Butternut squash soup 🍲 and my burger was cooked just right. Thanks to Mgr. Maria fir double checking to ensure I got what I ordered.

My daughter and I walked to Beatrix Valentines Day morning in the snow. Kristen the hostess greeting us and asked if we had reservation as they were fully booked. 'Uh no' Kristen asked us to hold on and went to manager for help. When she returned we were told to order takeout but she would seat us in a back area-to eat in the warmth of the restaurant. We were so grateful for Kristen going out of her way to accommodate us! The food was delicious-coffee amazing but it was the was the quick thinking and care of the hostess that saved the day for us. Anytime we are in Chicago going forward Beatrix will be a destination for breakfast!!!💙

I came here for brunch and the coffee was so good, I was pleasantly surprised! I tried their egg white omelette with toast and you can’t go wrong with that meal. The server was attentive as well which was a plus! Honestly, I would come back here solely for the coffee because it was amazing.
