Blackwood BBQ - Adams Street

Happy to have happened by here. I got the plate with three meats…choice of sauces was outstanding. The elote side and coleslaw were yummy and super friendly service.

Excellent BBQ. The menu is simple; sandwich, salad, or BBQ tacos. There's also a platter option that includes sides. Your only other decisions are type of meat and BBQ sauce. I get either the chicken or pulled pork sandwich with the 'slaw on top. So good. Brisket is also available. A surprisingly large number of people opt for the salad. Service is fast even if the line is out the door.

We came to this place for dinner. my friend recommended this spot. Well, we were not disappointed. The crew were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we shall absolutely come back again. Recommended.

We RARELY leave a 5-star feedback. Blackwood BBQ on Adams earns that rare 5 star easily. The meats are "top shelf"; juicy, tender, full of flavor with generous portions. Also, they offer 6 different sauces for your meats. Try the KC sauce and the Alabama...yum! When selecting your sides be absolutely sure you order the Mac & Cheese; you will be glad you did. The great food here is only a block from the Willis (Sears) Tower and two blocks from Union Station. If you ride the "L" get off at Quincy and go a half block west on Adams, south side of the street. This place is great - and the staff is friendly...imagine that!!
